VITA 2027 Tax Season Volunteer Interest
Since its inception, the Broward VITA Coalition has helped thousands of local individuals and families claim millions in tax refunds and credits—money that goes right back into our community. As a VITA volunteer, you’ll receive free IRS-certified training and use your skills to provide free, high-quality tax preparation to those who need it most.
Volunteers requirements:
- Be English Proficient (speak, read, write)
- Be computer literate - navigate the internet and be familiar with Microsoft Office
- Be able to pass a Level 1 background check ($25)
- Pass all exams and certifications in training
- Donate at least 50 hours of service during the tax season
