What is HandsOn At Home?

Make an impact from the comfort of home! HandsOn At Home brings meaningful volunteer opportunities to your doorstep. Whether you're completing a monthly DIY project, supporting literacy through our Superhero Cape & Book Bundles, or participating in a seasonal service project, you can give back to our community on your own time.

Designed for individuals, families, friends, coworkers, and youth groups, HandsOn At Home makes it easy to turn your time and creativity into positive action. Each opportunity supports a local community need and includes instructions to help you get started.

From assembling essential care kits to inspiring a child's love of reading, every project is a chance to connect with others, support our community, and make an impact, one project at a time.

Literacy League: Superhero Cape & Book Bundles

HandsOn South Florida’s Literacy League aims to instill a love of reading in students and support their educational success.

Help inspire a lifelong love of reading by creating Superhero Cape & Book Bundles for children in our literacy programs. These special bundles encourage imagination, creative play, and a love of books. We collect bundles year-round to support our Super Reader Day initiatives.

HandsOn Learning: Seasonal Opportunities

HandsOn South Florida’s HandsOn Learning pillar provides meaningful opportunities for youth in our community to learn, serve, and make a difference while earning service hours.

Through HandsOn At Home, young volunteers can participate in special seasonal projects that connect hands-on service with learning. These opportunities encourage youth to explore community needs, practice kindness, and take action alongside their families, schools, or youth groups.
