HandsOn South Florida’s Kindness Crew invites elementary school aged children and their families to join us for a series of literacy-based service experiences where children are immersed in a community-themed story reading followed by a fun activity. If your agency, or one you know of, would like the Kindness Crew to visit for a story time and craft, please email Bari Goldberg, HandsOn Learning Manager, at BGoldberg@HandsOnSouthFlorida.org.

HandsOn South Florida's Community Connectors is an initiative that develops compassion and social responsibility in middle school aged volunteers, while demonstrating to each participant their power to impact communities through volunteer service regardless of age.

TEEN SERVICE SQUAD
HandsOn South Florida’s Teen Service Squad offers teenagers from all over Broward County the opportunity to get out into their community and make a positive impact through service. Teen Service Squad members participate in “hands-on” direct service volunteer opportunities led by HandsOn South Florida staff members at a variety of partnering nonprofit agencies in Broward County.
Teen Service Squad members benefit in many ways:
- Learn about yourself, social issues and your community.
- Develop leadership skills and have a better understanding of good citizenship.
- Improve your college applications and résumé while having a positive impact on your local community.
- Help you meet your school’s service requirements.
- Provide you opportunities to have new experiences, see new places, and meet new people.

SUMMER SERVICE CAMP

HandsOn South Florida's Summer Service Camp is back for 2026!
HandsOn South Florida’s service-learning summer program for teens inspires, equips, and mobilizes youth to take action that changes the world and themselves through service. Participants gain firsthand insight into the issues facing their communities and receive the tools and resources they need to respond and become part of the solution. Upon completion of the program’s activities, students earn 40 service hours.

Session 1: June 15th - June 19th, 2026
Session 2: July 13th - 17th, 2026
Registration Schedule:
March 23rd - 29th: Registration opens for those who Express Interest (follow link above), $399/session
March 29th - April 15th: Registration opens for everyone! Early Bird Discount price, $399/session
April 16th: Rate increases to $449/session

We’re seeking dedicated individuals, 18 and older, who want to give back and inspire the next generation.
