Join Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Meals for Seniors Volunteer Delivery Campaign and make a meaningful impact in the lives of Broward County’s most vulnerable, homebound seniors. This unique program delivers not only fresh, restaurant-quality meals but also much-needed connection and compassion to isolated older adults.

Volunteer Role:
Volunteers will be paired with a senior client located near their home or workplace, as well as an assigned pickup restaurant. Each week, volunteers will:

• Pick up a prepared meal bag from their designated partner restaurant

• Deliver the meal directly to their assigned senior client

• Offer a friendly check-in to help feed both body and soul

Commitment:

• Weekly delivery

• 6-month commitment, with flexibility for vacations and rare exceptions

• Volunteers can expect to begin delivering approximately one week after onboarding

About the Program:
“Hand-Off Meals for Seniors” is Broward County’s service provider for homebound older adults in need. Unlike traditional meals-on-wheels programs, this initiative provides fresh, nutritious, restaurant-branded meals designed to bring dignity, warmth, and connection to seniors who are often isolated and lonely. Volunteers are the heart of this mission—delivering not just meals, but genuine human connection.
