EcoAction Workday - Secret Woods Nature Center

Help the environment by volunteering to clear natural areas of garbage and invasive plants. Secret Woods Nature Center offers EcoAction Workdays on the second Saturday of each month from 9 AM to Noon. These events provide an opportunity for students to earn community service hours working along park staff pick sticking litter and debris from the New River and removing invasive exotic plants. Preregistration is required by calling Secret Woods Nature Center, 954-357-8884 xt. 0, along with a volunteer application and parentor guardian signature, if under 18.  Bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and drinking water. Volunteers should dress appropriately with long pants, closed-toe shoes, and long sleeves. 

Meet by the park office in the parking lot. For park staff contact on the day of the event, please call 954-789-8199.
